Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ashen Throne game, launcher, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Ironveil Studios Ltd. (“Ironveil Studios”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. Accounts may only be created for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@ironveilstudios.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Ironveil Studios is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to exploit game mechanics, circumvent bans, or gain unfair advantages is prohibited and may result in permanent termination of all associated accounts.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, Ironveil Studios grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Ashen Throne launcher and game client for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include the right to:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the Service
  • Sublicense, sell, or transfer your license or account
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without express written consent

4. Virtual Items and In-Game Currency

Ashen Throne may offer virtual items, cosmetics, and in-game currency (“Virtual Items”) for purchase using real currency. All purchases of Virtual Items are final and non-refundable, except where required by law. Virtual Items have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred between accounts. Ironveil Studios reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or remove Virtual Items at any time without liability.

5. Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following while using the Service:

  • Using cheats, exploits, bots, mods, or unauthorized third-party software to gain an advantage
  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other players through any communication channel
  • Engaging in discriminatory, hateful, or offensive behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability
  • Impersonating Ironveil Studios staff, moderators, or other players
  • Sharing or promoting account credentials, account selling, or real-money trading of in-game items
  • Attempting to disrupt, overload, or interfere with servers or network infrastructure
  • Publishing private information about other users without their consent

Violation of conduct rules may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination at our sole discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the Service — including but not limited to game assets, characters, storylines, artwork, code, sound, and branding — is owned by Ironveil Studios or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

User-generated content (such as screenshots and fan art shared publicly) may be used by Ironveil Studios for promotional purposes with attribution, subject to our Privacy Policy.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or to Ironveil Studios, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your license to use the Service immediately ends. Purchased Virtual Items are forfeited upon permanent termination for cause.

You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Account closure does not entitle you to a refund of any purchases.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IRONVEIL STUDIOS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IRONVEIL STUDIOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) £50.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where local consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide additional rights.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-game notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
